I've been shooting black powder for over 30 years. I haven't been following trends for about 15 years, as I was busy with modern weapons. I bought an 1863 Remington replica rifle about 25 years ago for $280.00, now I see they're over $1000.00. It seems that powder and musket caps are hard to find and shipping/hazmat fees are very high these days. I've several cap and ball revolvers and have gotten back into shooting again. Took the rifle out yesterday and put some .58 cal holes in the center of my target at 100 yards, standing.

Welcome from West Virginia. I would agree that the price of things has gone crazy.
