Just picked up a grrw blue jacket rifle the 6th he designed and made. He also did some unusual things on this rifle by stamping all the parts with the #6 as well as factory engraving which debunks previous theories of no factory engraving.he also did not stamp in the same fashion as has been stated in a lot of articles of recent.it has a 1x30 grrw barrel in perfect condition after a gruelling cleaning of fouling and 0 rust. He also drew a picture and signed the rifle under the butt stock with a funny message to the original owner. I obtained the rifle from the owners nephew after he unfortunately passed away.

Follow up I have shot this rifle several times and it is a tack driver ! I was trying to sell it initially but ended up not doing the deal greatfully I might add ! Just bought a grrw trapper pistol companion for it. Kind of skool knowing you own something super rare and not many in existence here are a couple pics of the trade rifle it looks like I wasn't able to post any when I started this thread.

It’s got a combination of Lancaster and southern lines. Very nice curly stock. Glad to hear it’s accurate.
Visiting the GRRW collector website is informative and neat. Helped me understand how the plains rifle style was recreated

Thanks initially I didn't care much for this type of rifle but I have changed my mind on them very comfortable to shoot ! Yes stock wood is nice the guy who ordered it payed for premium wood the whole rifle is just fantastic it's my favorite rifle !

Beautiful rifle! You must feel like a caretaker of sorts,
Yeah kinda I'm actually trying to figure out what to do with these nice rifles when i die would like to see them on display somewhere if they are still rare and sought after ? Wonder how these things will be remembered or thought of down the line ?

Leave it to me and I will display it to all my friends, and take it hunting and display it in the woods to all the birds and animals, big and small. :)

I certainly hope you’re able to do so.
