I have no idea what this cost (in the day) as the price is not marked. I acquired it awhile back just for the collectable can (brass screw top). When it arrived, it appeared to be a bit "heavy." Turns out it is a FULL can! Can't wait to see if it is still potent!
Thinking I would have to just sit on that one!!! Very Cool!!!

I bought and/or won several pounds back about that time, so didn’t need to buy any. When I was in college and feeding two originals - a battered 1858 Remington .44 and a .54 flintlock - I used to buy Dupont at the local hardware store for $1 a can. As I recall I bought caps for the Remington and they were something like 50 cents a can then too.

I have a full can of goex 4F with a $7.99 sticker on it. The date is worn off, it must pre 1997 cause it was still manufactured at the Belin plant in Moosic, PA.

My first can of Dupont was the old oval can pictured in Meggadeath's post but have no idea of the price. But I did buy Dupont locally for $1.10 back in the 60s.

So add in a shortage of supply and $30.00 is to far off!
