When I first got interested in building BP guns a couple of years back, I found a gun building course offered by Virginia Tech - it was a residential course of about a week or so, based around putting together a Jim Chambers kit.

As it looks like I am going to have some time on my hands next year, I wouldn't mind combining a visit to my US relatives with doing this course or something similar. However, try as I might, I can't track it down - and maybe that is because they have stopped doing them?

Does anyone know whether this course is still being run or whether there are other similar courses around that might be worthwhile?

Thanks in advance

Rob

There is a couple of courses,
one is at Conner Prairie in Fishers Indiana and check the Cabin Shop in Ohio as another couple of ideas.
The one at CP is a Chambers kit build too and really nice place. (Live here so not too bad) If you come here email me for anything. Lot of cool things to do and near here too.

Cheers, DonK
