Just got around to flipping through the latest copy of PETERSEN'S HUNTING magazine, and there is an 8 page pull out section all about Thompson Center...some pages have a trophy story & photo of the TC muzzleloader used...3 full length photo articles in particular are:

Gregg Ritz with TC inline;
Jim Shockey with TC inline;
Ian McMurchy with TC inline, Hawken on the side;

This is the second time I've seen Shockey featured with TC products instead of Knight...so I guess the divorce is final.

I watched Shockey's hunting show on the Outdoor Channel this weekend and he's sponsored by T/C. He was hunting with a Knight but I'm sure it will take a while to get new footage of him hunting with a T/C.

:yakyak: I wanna' see ol Jim sneek up on a polar bear with a 54cal Leman flinter, than I'll be impressed. Whats so big about those single shot high powered scoped rifles.
I watch his shows from time to time and he's a hunter no doubt. But I have hunted with a Encore 209X50 and there is nothin'! primitive about them. Mine sits in the closit :applause:
We need! to get the info out about traditional guns. I do my best am teaching one of my buddies who is 24yrs on the fine art of ball huckin' next is his little bro.
I thank CoyoteJoe for showin' me the "way"
sorry two cents
:hatsoff:

I think there was a commercial for his powder. He did have a few commercials for Nosler bullets. They even did one with an "average hunter" who took a couse deer and mulie with Nosler bullets saying how great they were with Shockey coaxing him along.

When he does a show with a side hammer gun I will be impressed. Until then :yakyak: :shake:
