I've been poking around the internet and trying to find a site that lists gunsmiths and their marks with little luck. I bought an older muzzle loader last week and want to identify the gunsmith. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Welcome,,
I don't know of a list or site that has a compilation of contemporary builders,
Provenance of antique and really old rifles is a study unto itself.

Photo's of what you have posted here might just help someone identify your rifle.

Just a note there is a separate section here for "Firearm Identification"; http://www.muzzleloadingforum.com/fusionbb/showforum.php?fid/143/keyword/research/

If you post the photo's here it'll just get moved.
