Two things on the halogen lights:
1) They shouldn't be used around combustibles. Those things get so hot they have caused fires. The military outlawed those halogen torche's that were so popular in the 90's due to barracks fires when they fell over.
2) I had to have my lens removed from my eye and MUST wear glasses with UV blocker. Your lens naturally filters out UV which can cause permanent damage to the retina. But I don't think it can filter out the amount of UV your light is emitting without a filter. I would wear some good UV sun glasses when using that and warn other members of the family away from it.
Otherwise, sounds pretty neat.
Oops, almost forgot the Red/Green creed:
"I'm a man, but I can change, if I have too.....I guess"
