I am wondering if any of our illustrious knife makers knows of, or can give us a tutorial on making hard sheath components such as nickel silver or brass sheath tips, and frog attachments, etc? :hmm:

I don't have a clue but I would probably construct the knife sheath. Then make a mandrel out to hard wood that matches the shape you need. You could also use a jewlers anvil if you have one sitting around. Then I would take the brass or silver and try to shape it using the mandrel and a ball peen hammer. The metal will work harden and You will probably have to heat it up and quench to re-soften it.
That's just a guess.

Good stuff guys ... I can probably adjust the techs on these pages to do what I have to!

Thanx! :hatsoff:
