I was regulating the sites on my 32 today when I lost a patch off the jag and didnt have a 32 cal patch worm. I tried several things with no luck when I figured on cuting a 22 cal copper brush in half striping the brisels off and bending it into a patch worm. It worked great. c

Good work!! I seldom throw anything away and thus have lots of springs in lots of sizes....coil in expansion and compression and flat springs. I made a patch retrieval tool once by threading a short piece of coil spring on the ramrod (not having that cal. worm) and bent the tip out a bit. Worked great, was quick and easy too. Emery

Oh yeah, been using one I made from a worn-out .38 bore brush for some time in my .50 . pity the ol' time mountain men didn't have them.

SHEER GENIUS! I made one and used it for the first time last weekend. Everybody at the range looked at it. Now, everybody around here is making them. You should be commended!

...and I have tossed out how many used up bore brushes???
