There is A Austin & Halleck flintlock Mountain Rifle for sale at AuctionArms now for 350.00. Unfired. Get off the fence.

I have always heard that A&H are made in Spain. Does this memo say that they are produced in Utah? A friend of mine has one and really likes it.. thats all that counts where ever they are made.

Had her out today and all is well or better.
Lock is smooth as snot on a glass doorknob
Ignition flawless and positive
Put 150 rds through to start to smooth the bore up
real potential in the accuracy carved a nice 3 inch hole @ 25yds
Offhand shoottin up odds and ends - some 15yr old ox-yoke .10's and old 495's - and all the half tins of caps I had and they all worked some close to 20yrs old. 490's and new ox-yokes all went through the hole.
Was aiming at a orange 3/4" dot group was 1 inch left and about 5 inches low..Had some patches torn by the lands but I'll fix that.
I'll break out the ticking and file next time and start to get serious.

Anyways I'm really impressed with it and would imagine the flint would be as good as this is. I recomend A&H 100%

I'll be keeping it. I wish they made long bbl flinters I would order ASAP. :m2c:
