I did some research. I was WRONG about Etsy. I could find nothing on the company supporting gun control. Apparently the info I got a couple years ago was wrong.

I found some disturbing info about other companies I use though. Pretty soon I’m going to be naked and starving sitting in a corner of my living room with nothing to do and no where to go.

You left out two things in your post:
1) What search engine
2) What Key Word(s) you asked it.

It appears you got a generic response for what Venders on Etsy sells.
Yes Etsy allows or denys a vender to sell their product(s) and should you have tried a different Key Word search you would have gotten Pro-Gun responses from Pro-Gun vendors on Etsy....this I know for I have purchased from several.

You can find 'evil' anywhere, but you can also find good.
I myself cancelled my Amazon account, my PayPal account and avoid Ebay (for various reasons) but if I look hard enough then I would buy NO WHERE, Any Where, not even my local grocery stores.
Seriously...think about it...

However, you have made your choice, but please don't judge Lil Grizz for selling his quality product amoung the Pro-Gun and Pro-Historical community of Etsy just because they allow low lifespan to sell their junk there too.

Lil Grizz is good people just trying to offer top quality products to Our Community...for that I take my (Lil Grizz) hat off to him, and will jump through any hoops to acquire my next hat.

(I wonder if Grizz can replicate Jed Clampett's hat, not worn out but how it was when he got it new...?)
Send us your favorite photo/s of that hat and we can get you a quote! [email protected]

Thank you for this reply. The Etsy thing was frustrating but nothing against your hats. You make cool stuff. When my little 1 year old grandson is ready to be a mountain man, I would not hesitate to contact you directly. :)

By email though. I don’t have all the other stuff.
You are quite welcome.....as a craftsman/maker, Etsy is the easiest/cheapest platform for us to use as a catalogue to display as many of our styles as possible for folks to sort through. (Because we make our hats without any mechanization from an earlier stage than many makers, we are able to offer a very wide range of styles.) However we offer several ways to complete the sale when contacted directly through email or any of our social media pages.

Not sure who you are directing your questions to but if it’s me, try to breathe and relax. It all worked out fine. You buy where you want and I’ll do the same. The main thing is, who cares?
:)
Good Morning RanchRoper.... "who cares" well we the craftsmen of the world care..... when someone generalizes and bashes a selling platform that a maker has chosen it affects others decisions to make purchases. I personally know many Sellers on the Etsy platform that use it for the easy of displaying our products....

Grizz messaged me back and said to contact him through Facebook but I’m not on it.
If Etsy works fine for some folks it’s all good. I buy where it’s easy for me to buy.
We can be contacted on any of our social media pages, the Etsy shop, our YouTube channel, or at [email protected]. Your message will get answered quickest from FB or Etsy...but I will get to the others ASAP

I have 2 of their hats. Ordered both off of Etsy. Ordered a classic mountain man hat in black. First time ordering a hat like that and got it slightly too big. Loved it so I ordered another with slightly smaller measurements in sand color. Fit perfect, very comfortable. Feels and looks like what my imagination thinks it would be like in 1820. My only gripe is that the 2nd hat came with a distinct fold mark across the hat. I contacted them immediately by email but didn't get a satisfactory answer. Joy said it looked like someone had smashed it, not taking any responsibility and saying it would cost 50$ plus 50$ shipping to get it reshaped. It ships in a real secure hat box which showed up undamaged. I decided to just wear it not having extra money at the time. Was already in the dog house. That being said I wouldn't hesitate to order another one. Absolutely love the hats I have and plan to order another. Now that think about it I may not have communicated properly that I was the original owner. I'm not familiar with Etsy and have only used it the 2 times I ordered hats thru them.
I am sorry for our lack of satisfactory service...please do not hesitate to email us again at [email protected] to discuss it again.

I understand they have vendors that sell both. What I want to know is what Etsy stands for. PayPal is definitely anti2a and I won’t buy anything through them. Is Etsy?
Why? As a business they should stand for selling their products or their artist’s products. No one wants to hear their politics, like Disney, AB or Target. They sell both sides and that’s fair. Fair is okay.

Man, I wish I would have stayed out of this!!!
Right? The problem with this forum is people get so wound up. I’ve bought tons of things online and really only got burnt once from cheena. I had to send the outright bad product pack for refund and that cost $45 which eBay said they’d cover most of, but then blew me off.

Still, I’ve gotten great T-shirt’s, an awesome bath mat (from cheena), chain mail for my dog from eendeeys, etc. everything from Etsy came. Ac repro Roman coin from Bulgaria got lost in postal hel,l but got here.

What I’m trying to say is it does work. I’m careful who I order from. Most American business are great. And, as I also say “we ain’t in the 1900’s anymore” ya gotta move with the times. Just like they did back then. Us old farts don’t like it, but neither did they back then.

Take your time with etsy. Sometimes the search is hard. Ask questions.
