Iam making a bag now and I thought I was going to finish before poking my finger. But I thought wrong.Drawed blood even wit a blunt nose needle.I have made one bag and not stuck my finger. That is my record.Whats yours?Squib

It's a well known fact that blood is the most common (and natural) dye and dressing for leather work. Leather items just wouldn't be HC or PC without it.

Iffin you only stuck yerself once I'd say yer doing good. The only full bag I completed let enuf blood out for a transfusion. GW

I make holsters and call them DNA Holsters. Everyone has at least a drop of my blood, usually more, on it................funny but true :rotf:

When i make my knife cases and other things i have a little punch for the soft leather, but for the shealth i use pair of needle nose pliers to pull the needles throw. i even found a thumbail that fit my finger.

Its like an unwritten law of leatherwork...When sewing no matter how careful you are, you must get stuck by the needle.

Everything I've ever made has my DNA signature incorporated into it!
You ought to see what my hands look like. ("It's on the end of his arm...it MUST be a hand!") :shocked2:

Just finished one.

3 finger pokes. And that's doin' purty good. :surrender:
