Came from the friend that left me his rifles. Not sure what he was cutting that got it so funky. Hand forged head, marked with a 3 and a 1 over a J. Came from a muzzleloading shop in Puyallup WA, or from the Paul Bunyan Rifle Range, also in Puyallup WA.
I’m going to clean it up, get the head properly reseated on the haft. Refinish the handle with oil, maybe blue the head less cutting edge.
If you recognize the mark, or could tell me the era/style of head, much appreciated.
