I never knew such a bear existed until I saw this ad on eBay:

Wow! That is nice!! I LOVE the stock!!

Pork Chop, I picked up a few back in the early 90's...a few years ago I converted one to a Flintlock...used a stainless lock assembly that TC puts on their Firestorm so the lock would match the stainless furniture...my photo doesn't do the stock justice...they all had presentation grade wood

I don't suppose they are still in production, are they?

If so, anyone know what their going for?

They were made in a couple of special runs in '87 and '92...calibers were .45 and .50...no .54's.

I've seen them listed on auction at all sorts of prices in the $400-600 range but they usually end up selling in the $250-350 range depending on condition.

Another similar run was made 5 years later called the Hawken 'Custom' with all dark blue luster mirror finish on all furniture & barrel;

Then 5 years later another run called the Hawken Elite...just like the Cougar except no medallion on the buttstock, and a stainless barrel instead of blued.

Green Mountain made (and may still make) stainless barrels that would fit on one of these. I saw one on ebay.
