Thought I would post pics of a Hawken I completed about a year ago. I've posted a single pics of it in the past but recently photoed the gun for a gentleman that maybe interested in purchasing it. It's built from a blank with an unfired 1 1/8 Bill Large Barrel. Thought maybe some of the Hawken fans might enjoy them.

Very nice! My GPR is my primary hunting rifle. I would like very much someday to build a more accurate copy up...perhaps from the Hawken shop?
I have to admit though,I understand Kibler has a Hawken in the back of his mind for down the road... knowing Jim Kiblers wonderful eye for detail and authenticity, I could wait to see what he comes up with. I just hope the weight would be closer to the GPR than the Pedersoli version of a plains rifle.

Nice job! It looks exactly like my Ithaca. Your rifle reminds me of a beautiful girl that sat right in front of me in algebra class in 1960!
Every one wanted her but most were to shy to ask her out?

Very authentic looking. Great job!

Nice rifle, Ron Paull in Alaska holds to the original designs of what he builds I have one of his Hawken rifles his trapper pistol and he's building me a Leman rifle now I would look to see if he will build a Hawken if someone is looking for one he was a GRRW builder back in the day and his quality is second to none !

I do like my Ithaca I built in 1978 however I didn't realize back then they made the lock molding entirely too large. I'd like to thin them down but would require a finish patch job. Not sure I want to get into this.
