Does anyone know who this maker is and where can I get one with a pistol grip? Even if there is a kit available? Thanks

Many moons ago Reinhart Fajen sold pistol-grip stocks for TC guns and CVA at one time offered a pistol-grip carbine similar to the White Mountain Carbine but I believe they all had laminated stocks. Other than that I'd say build your own or have one built.

Not sure. Where did the photo come from? Was there not any info there? I believe Investarms made a “sporterized” Hawken for Cabelas that had a pistol grip and checkering, but that pic looks like a classic Hawken with the pistol grip added.

[/QUO I know it probably isnt period correct. I just want one. I did see one for sale on track of the wolf a couple of months ago but by the time I seen it there was a sale "pending" on it. Im probably going to build my own. Thanks Bubba

If you just want a pistol-gripped stock & don't need the historical accuracy, there's three TC's on gunbroker right now that might fit the bill. There's an 'Express Rifle' it's kinda like a Pennsylvania Hunter with pistol grip & express sights. The same feller also has a 12ga Black Mountain Magnum and a Tree Hawk with P.G. stocks though I believe the Tree Hawk is a T.H. barrel on a High Plain Sporter stock.

Well, to the best of my knowledge and many original Hawken sites, that is a authentic Hawken from the brothers. Here it is from a Hawken collection. [Added: The one the OP shows is probably not an original but a copy of the one shown here in my post] DaleView attachment 128075 ..Polecat
Thanks for the info Dale. I didnt know grip came on an original. I guess I will keep searching.

Like Bubba says, there's a seller right now with two TC rifles and one TC shotgun on GB.
The first one is a TC Express, 50cal, bidding starts at $699.
The second one is a TC Tree Hawk, 50cal, bidding starts at $599. The Tree Hawk is a round barrel.
The third is a TC Black Mountain Magnum, (oooh) 12gauge, bidding starts at $799.

Seen this the other day- It may not be what your looking for- Yet its neat carbine size and pistol grip is unique.
A Traditions buckskinner, Cap or rock lock.

Thanks Bubba I looked and seen them. I didn't know they existed. Thanks again.

There was no info. I just got it off of Google. I may build one and show pictures. Thanks undead poet

Pecatonica has a Rigby sporting rifle precarve Which is very similar to a Hawken but has a pistol grip. I am currently working on one with a 45 caliber bullet barrel to use as a hunting rifle.
