Hazmat rates for shippin powder

Not sure why your negative comments to my post. I never complained or said it was unfair or not right.

Just simply stating that the facts are as it relates to the haz mat fees. That they are simply collected by the trucking companies to help offset the cost of hauling haz mat.

Not pro or con, simply making a factual statement.

With the sole exception of our firearms YES!! However, even an entry level TRADITIONAL Muzzleloader costs more than a good budget unmentionable. Our arms themselves are spendy, our supplies we get dirt cheap or free! (in my case its cause I got the arms when they werent so pricey and I am a cheapskate due to finances :grin: )

Hazmat fees for shipping black powder have nothing to do with Birch Bayh or any other politician. i did environmental work for many years. My soil samples were shipped Hazmat.

Years ago DOT re-classified black powder as Class A High Explosive. The BATFE got into the act because of black powder use in improvised explosive devices.

I have to agree there. ML shooter n competition will lend you stuff that lets you beat them.

When I shot High power modern that would never happen.

When I started competition in ML at FT Ty some of the best national shooters helped me learn how to compete and some times beat them.

The best competition is when you have to work to win not just go bang.
