ouch! That gun has a sort of "neglected" look to it.

Someone should buy it for 6.00, and take it to one of those "buy back" programs that police put on to get guns off the street. Would be fun to see the look on thier face.

I don't know, a little wood puddy, a hit with some steel wool and you got yourself some certified scrap...

Bet it's still loaded too...

Ha, shipping and handling cost more than the current bid...

Up to a certain point, any old gun is said to have developed "character" or "patina". This is waaaayyyyyy beyond that! ::

Am I miss'n here ??,.... thet rifle looks as good as tha one's I build!! ::

that gun shop is located here in san antinio,i'll bet the clerk who took that gun in trade don't work there any more

Ya know, this "gun" could have been dropped in the muddy banks of the Mississippi during the Civil War by it's former owner who was shot off of the riverboat transport and stayed there until a family of beavers unearther it, then someone 140+ years later on their way to Texas seen it and brought it to said gunshop...

Yep, it could have happened just that way...

I guess my club decided not to raffle it off and just sell it. :)

Don't make me buy it... must stop... can't resist.... .

I think we could fit it up.. I could restock it in Walnut.
Who wants to do the lock?

SP

The description calls it a wallhanger. Huh, no kidding? :haha:

or ya can use it for a boat anchor "again" :: ...............................bob

Yes indeed, if the Birddog6 had not bailed my butt out, that's exactly what my Jaeger would have ended up looking like.

Actually, that rifle has to have some interesting history to it, but I guess if it was known it wouldn't be a $5.00 special.

I'd buy it in person for $5, but don't think it would be worth the shipping costs.

Wouldn't it be fun to take that on a hunt with some new people, and whip it out of the gun case like you were really going to use it?? That might be worth the shipping cost.

haaa that a deal there by golly , im sure you could turn that right around on e-bay of 300X your investment . you could even post it as a non shooter and still get the boot LMAO

Keep it for when your in-law's want to use one of your muzzleloaders, just pull it out and say: "Now I want it back in the same condition..."

This looks like it might be a southern Reconstruction gun from right after the Civil War. The lock looks like it came from an Enfield. Anyway, too bad it can't talk. It obviously has led a long, hard life.

That's a lie! It takes at least a hundred years to get wormholes of that quality in a stock! ::
