JT here. Joined up because I am only 1 year in with BP shooting and I still have made many mistakes and have many questions.
Caught the BP bug while working as an RSO at the the biggest outdoor shooting range in my state.
I am an NRA certified RSO and basic pistol and rifle instructor with over 30 years of shooting experience.
I have a 1980s T/C percussion Hawken with a Douglas barrel (Maltese cross) that drives tacks at 150 yards. I'll take credit for that ;)
Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Me too.. .Since about 1985, and sitll making mistakes and have many questions. Welcome to the group.
I've come to find out the rules of Black powder.

1 Be safe
2 Have fun
3 Refer to number 1.

Another piece of advice,, ,was dirt, rag, rock. that is, if you put the dirt in first (black powder) everything else will come out OK.
Always keep your sense of humor about you.
