Hi everyone,

I'm a hunter and black powder shooter from France. I'm also a crime fiction writer and an History buff (just got me Francis Parkman's France and England in North America, for example).
My guns are :
A Marlin 336 in .35 Remington for hunting (mainly roe deer and wild boar), with a 16 Ga shotgun given to me when I got my licence by my late grandfather.
A fusil de Tulle, 20 Ga flintlock smoothbore, a belgian .32 Bulldog from early 20th century, and a few italian civil war replicas (1860 Army, 1851 Navy, Le Mat).
Glad to be onboard !

Hello Richard and Treestalker,

Thanks for your welcome. I've been using cap and balls for twenty years but I'm quite new to flintlocks so I still got to learn a lot around here, and also hope to make new friends from all over the world of muzzleloading.

Vous êtes au bon endroit.
I have learned so much here. There are experienced and knowledgeable people on this site about history, shooting, rifle and smooth bore use.

Welcome,
Ron

Welcome to the Forum!!

My wife and I went to Paris for Christmas a few years ago and loved it! We want to go back soon and I want to go hunt Wild boar and Roe Deer with my flintlocks in the future. How hard would it be for me to get black powder? I'm guessing flying with a horn full would not go over very well with the airplane and customs people. :nono:

Welcome again!!
