Hello everyone: a little bit about myself, i live in eastcentral illinois, served in the army in vietnam 69-70 retired from hvac business a couple yrs ago. Hobbies include hunting, fishing, and restoring old garden tractors, wanting to start getting back into muzzleloading and getting into recreating the period of the longhunter pre 1800era.
30 yrs ago i went down to deer camp with my 54cal cva mountain rifle allways used patched rb and black powder which is what i will use next year, but been using slug gun the last few years.
But now would like to go farther into muzzleloading and re-creating history, hope this has'nt been to long or boring. Thank You all

Howdy from Pekin. :hatsoff:
Blackpowder and round balls still work as good as ever. The rest of the sport is more fun than you can shake a stick at. Welcome back.

Welcome and thank you for your service. My second son is Army infantry and currently stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. Great state, Texas. I will be paying him a visit in February and will also watch my youngest daughter's boyfriend graduate from Air force basic training at that time.
