I'm a newbie in Northwest Ohio. I have my great grandfather's gun. Appears to be a Pennsylvania percussion with initials A. S.
As a child, I admired the gun.
My dad gave it to me 20yrs ago. My brother was a gun buff and I sent pictures because he wanted to duplicate. When we were next together, I gave him the gun because it was right. He had disassembled with intent to duplicate. Then, died of sudden heart attack. It is in pieces but I have intact photos. Damaged by step-sister throwing down stairs yrs ago as kid. Broken stock. Knocked off one rod guide. One metal internal piece broken. Looking for guidance. No rush.
Thanks.
