 Good evening! My name is Guy 'Frenchie' LaFrance and I'm a Civil War reenactor who has discovered the fun of putting real bullets downrange. I expect to see a lot of good information and entertainment here.
Has this ever happened to you? I just joined the local gun club this summer and was planning to burn a lot of black powder in my musket and revolvers, to shoot Dad's Model 70 Winchester in high-power competition, and get involved with promoting the shooting sports, etc. But now My Lovely Bride has decided to move from Maryland to Virginia and, because I adore her and am not a (compleat) idiot, I am cooperating in the endeavor. So there are pros and cons: I must abandon my plans for spending time at the range becoming redolent with the aroma of sulfur, and will now have few if any chances to use my Civil War Navy uniform and accoutrements. OTOH, the Shenandoah Valley is God's own country and Virginia is much more gun-friendly than the People's Democratic Republic of Maryland. Anyway, I should be posting from way up on Massanutten Mountain sometime in the near future.
Until later, then,
Frenchie (I'm not authorized to have a sig line yet?)
