I have been hunting with a muzzleloader for 10 plus years now. I started out with a TC Hawkens and then bought a Lyman Great Plains Rifle which I still have and for a short time I had a TC Renegade. All were flintlocks in 50 cal. I had one percussion, a Lyman GPH which I traded to get a TC Hawkens for my wife who just started shooting black powder and loving it. I would like to expand my knowledge on the whole subject of traditional muzzleloading in tuning, better shooting and build my own gun whether it be a rifle, smooth bore, fowler or a swivel breech or double.
