Hi all From Ohio, just joined because I have fallen down that rabbit hole of primitive weapons. I have built, repaired, and worked on many guns,,,,except primitive flintlocks. I hope to gain a lot of knowledge along the way and would be more than happy to help anyone with information on any modern firearms.

Welcome to the Forum! :hatsoff:

You have come to the right place. Anything you want to know about muzzleloaders and black powder can be found here. Cowboy will be along to give you the Grand Welcome - he does it best!

Your knowledge of modern weaponry repair etc. will be welcome, BUT, such communications will have to be done under the heading "Private Topic". We aren't supposed to discuss firearms on the Forum that postdate 1865.

Private Topics can be entered by clicking on "user options" under the poster's name and information (left side of the post), or at the top of the Profile page.

We look forward to your questions and posts.

Richard/Grumpa

PS: When you send a PT, the recipient will have a window appear on his Forum page telling him that he has a PT (and also in his email inbox).

Welcome aboard. We won't hold you being from Cleveland against you. :haha:

Welcome to the foremost accumulation of detailed black powder knowledge and foolishness that can be found all in one place!

I was born in So Cal, finished HS and college in Ohio. Worthington, Columbus, Kent, Willowick, West Carrollton, Dayton - been all over Ohio. Much preferred the Dayton area.

Ohio was a great place to finish my HS years. I met an old gent with a family legacy collection of flintlock rifles who gave me appreciation of the gunbuilder's art, as well as flintlock handling and shooting. Met Cecil Brooks, Wm. Buechele, Tom white, Jim Johnston and countless other legends along the way.

Wouldn't trade my Ohio years for gold. Of course, it's great to say today that I'm from Ohio --- FAR from Ohio :rotf:

There's hope for you yet
