Welcome from Fairbanks, Alaska. I've been on the same path as you. Started with a percussion Lyman Great Plains rifle and just got started with a Pedersoli Brown Bess Carbine myself. This site is a great resource. Learned a lot here and I still have a whole lot to learn....especially about the flintlock. Please keep us posted on how things are going with the Bess. It's great to compare notes with others while trying to figure stuff out.
