Hello from Texas

I am a total newbie to muzzleloading and BP. i had acquired a Lyman GPR kit and will search the forum on info of how to put it together.( Man! you sure got a lot of Killer pics of all of your builds! It sure looks like there is a lot to learn here! I hope i can make mine come out close to that quality if i'm patient.

Welcome! What part of Texas are you located in? There are some active clubs around. TMLRA shoots several times a year in Brady, Red River Renegades shoot pistol and rifle the last Sunday of each month in Electra, Northwest of Wichita Falls, there is a club that shoots South of Houston in Brazoria once a month also on I believe, the 2nd Saturday and another club that shoots outside of San Antonio in La Coste. You will find them listed on the TMLRA web site. Also, I have a Great Plains Rifle (54)that I built from a kit in the 80's as well as a Plains pistol(54) from a kit as a companion piece for the rifle. I am back and forth between North Texas and the Houston area on a regular basis and pretty often to the hill country West of Austin. If you need some assistance give a shout.
