hi, hello from cleveland ohio.my name is dave. walruskid is my cowboy action handle. big mustache. i like underhammers and muskets. got my son involved in black powder last year and created a monster. most of my stuff has been "aquired" by my son. thats ok though because it gives me a good excuse to buy new.

Them new-fangled cowboy action guys do too much shootin. If ye ain't hit it in one shot either move closer next time or run like h#ll, or both.

we are allowed to use cap and ball, always fun when your first shot makes 2 or 3 caps fall off. gotta remember to pinch 'em. plays hell with you score.

Im a cowboy action shooter too. Rock Ridge Red is my SASS alias. (Rock Ridge- the town from Blazing Saddles, Red- my hair, and me if Im in the sun for more than 45 seconds) My mountainman name is Sparky. not sure why I used vaquero. I guess because of my Rooogers. Muzzleloading is my favorite kind of shooting, but cowboy is fun too.

This is a great place to learn, and jump in and help when you can. Enjoy!
