Hey all,
Been lurking for a few weeks so decided to introduce myself. I am proprietor of a small gun/archery shop in Wautoma. I deal in modern guns and bows but my passion is muzzleloaders and longbows. I like to build my own muzzleloaders as I never was satisfied with anything I bought ready built. All my personal guns are flint and I just finished a Northwest Trade Gun from TOW parts. I find working up shot and ball loads for this smoothbore a whole different animal. Hope to kill a turkey with it this spring. Looking forward to sharing ideas with all you fine folks soon.
Any fellow shooters/trekkers/hunters from WI on this forum??

greetings from the far north - bayfield - build rifles & bows too - hunt with them as much as possible currently on a early JP beck longrifle & trying to keep warm

I am your next door neighbor, on your west side, in Winona,MN. Are you close to the Mississippi?

Frank,
I'm about two hours straight east from Lacrosse. Me and a pard were just out on the sippi last week for three days ice fishing. Caught our limits of huge bluegills each day. Come the first hint of spring, we'll be back for walleye. I've been to Winona as my stepfather grew up there. All are now deceased however. They were all big time duck hunters and trap shooters.
Any blackpowder related stuff going on around your area?
Regards, Dave

Greetings from across the "pond" (Lk Michigan, that is). Hope to see you around the forum.

I'll be at a rondy in Milton next weekend and Prairie Villa in June. If you haven't ever been to Prairie, you have GOT to go! It's worth the trip, and I'm in S.E. Michigan!!!

Welcome to the Council Fire, pass the jug and palaver all you want!

Toast the wine to a fellow cheesehead! I live in Foxboro, just 30 miles south of Superior. :applause:

My Backyard has a target range. We shoot everything here including trap. The only Rondy that I am familiar with that has any shooting is in Chatfield in May. Beautiful setting there and good people too.

I have a 20 foot/200hp Fish & Ski that never seems to see enough water under it anymore. Used to almost live on it before I retired. Go figure!! ha! I still fish in the spring when a buddy comes up but love fall fishing. Involved in rondys now and never seem to make time for fall fishing anymore.

If you would like to send a PM when you head back this way maybe we can hit the river. I know the Winona pool pretty well but these days I mostly fish for bass but we also catch northerns and walleyes.

Big gills in the eddys below spillways and backwaters. Lots of fun on UL equip.
