I'm a long time shooter of muzzleloaders.
Got my first cap and ball revolver in 1973 & a TC Hawken rifle in .45 early 1975. Hunted and plinking for about 10 years with those.
I joined the Army in 1975 which helped fund my first custom rifle around 1983.
It was a flintlock long rifle in 38 cal.
That was the start of a real addiction.
Still primarily a flintlock shooter. Smoothbore or rifle, they're my fun gun of choice. But then, my cartridge deer hunting rifle is an 1867 Spencer Sporting Rifle so, I never really get out of the mid 1800's anytime my finger rests on a trigger.
