Hi there, glad to be a member of this forum. Ex military (Infantry 5 years). Love to hunt and I love guns. Thanks for having me!

Welcome to the forum.
The Muzzleloading Forum is I think, the best forum around if you are interested in the old traditional muzzleloading guns like they made in 1865 or earlier.
As is pointed out in the forum rules, we don't talk about modern in-line guns or any modern gun that uses self contained cartridges outside the Premium Member areas on the forum.

If you have questions we have dozens of members who will be more than happy to answer them. If you have any experiences to tell us about, we're all ears. :)

Welcome from Arkansaw, and having been in the infantry, you have a unique view of weapons care and deterioration in the bush; it's hard on them. Such experience imminently qualifies you to be a muzzleloader owner/operator; they must be taken care of, and that's our primary qualification; slow down from the frenzied world, take your time shooting and cleaning these lovely anachronisms, and know you are not alone in your love of the myriad muzzleloading weapons of the past. You have entered the Dark Side, LOL! We are your 'Darker Brothers', not like the rest, LOL! May your journey be enriched by your membership in our sooty ranks!
