Thanks for having me. I’ve been shooting cap guns for many years and want to explore flint locks now. Both building and shooting. I’ve made hundreds of self bows and hope some of those skills translate.

Trad archer/bowhunter myself (1960's recurves) and the only translatable skills will be instinctive aiming a sightless smoothbore flintlock (I'm not bad at that) and wood shaping and finishing. Tip: most first time builders don't remove enough wood around the lock and side-plate. Makes for a clunky build.
