One way to use old cd or dvds is at 25 yards and see who can put three ball though the center with out hitting the cd. That won't work using a .75 caliber...

Another little target that's fun to hit is Oreo cookies. The kids can "clean the targets" by eating the white filling (the only good part of um IMO) and when your done, you don't have to clean up anything.

Long after everyone goes home the little critters will come out of hiding and have a great Oreo Party. Who knows? They may even look forward to all of you coming back to replenish the party supplies.

Take an old garden hose, cut it into suitable lengths (18" to 36") and lay them on the ground at 40 feet (rifle) or 30 feet (pistol). Each shooter gets one shot to "shoot the snake". You must put a visible hit (half ball or more) on the piece of hose for the shot to count. This also could be used as a "shot only" shot for smoothbores at 30 feet. This can be run as a station on a woods or scenario walk, or a line event. Make sure the ground you are shooting into is soft, with no rocks.

Alternatively, you could hang the pieces of hose vertically at 25 yards with a weight on the end. Allow three shots to cut the hose in two, each hit worth five points, complete cut worth twenty points.

Save up your old plastic milk cartons and caps. Fill said milk cartons with water, and cap tightly. Watch as your lead ball makes a big splash! Very impressive, and lots of fun if you're bored.

Maybe someone could donate a trophy "Jackalope" as a prize,,, and to mark the spot where "Jed" missed the critter... :D :D :D
