Any info on this would be appreciated. I am familiar with Bannerman but haven't seen one like this yet. Breech is stamped something like "Bannerman patent breech". The gun is a "Quaker" being that the middle section of the barrel is wooden. Any info on this breech system or the gun would be appreciated.

I have found a "Bannerman Cadet Rifle" based on a Springfield 1861/4 (sidelock - not back action) with a wood barrel and all. Possibly Bannerman offerred various actions at various prices. They were used for drill rifles and ceremonies.

Sorry to bump this up, I'm just intrigued by how much it looks like a Werndel.

I wonder if there's a connection.
