I recently found this Powder-Horn. It even still has back powder in it. Can anyone tell me anything about it from the photos?

Darn, I forgot to measure that. It's about a foot long. I will measure it morning.

The overall length of the horn is 11 inches. The diameter at it's widest point is 2 5/8 inches.
Are the horn walls thin enough to be translucent?

When I put an LED flash light on one side and turn it on, I can see all the way through the horn.
