Need help - building a Southern Tennessee poor boy, and since the stock is so thin under the barrel, wondered if the barrel pin under lugs, and the ramrod pipes, both extend all the way through the bottom of the stock between the barrel and the ramrod channel??? Looks like you would just open up a channel all the way through and mount them in that open channel? Any assistance is appreciated.

It's okay for the underlug to go through the web and into the ramrod channel. It is best to do this at the underlug and not weaken the slim forestock by hogging out a channel down the ramrod groove.

Like Grenadier said, do them individually, sometimes I break through through the ramrod channel with the barrel lugs, I file them flush with the ramrod channel so they don't stick out. I probably break into the barrel channel with the ramrod pipe lugs as well but I can't remember.
