Man you must have some Tight bores. I always used either .530 or .535 rd balls with WalMart ticking in my .54's.

It's a standard Traditions 54cal and I can't even start to thumb start a .527" ball with a .010" patch. I really can't see how some people can use the patch/ball combos that they use. I don't like a really tight set-up anyway but danged if I can even get the ball and patch to seat in the bore of my 54cal. The .010" will work in the 62cal smoothbore but it'll be just a tad tighter then I really like but I'll shoot it first to see how it works.
Bare balls, bare balls. :grin: I haven't found any lead in my bore from using them. Try it, you'll like it. :grin:
