I am trying to make a decision between cabelas kentucky rifle and the blue ridge model can anyone offer there opinion of the two thank you very much for your help funds
are limited but want to make the best decision between the two.

The Blue Ridge is a Pedersoli Frontier. It is not a copy of a particular style or school of rifle that I am familiar with.

The "Kentucky" has a 4" shorter barrel (35") and is a pound lighter.

It's sort of a copy of an original Dreisbach rifle, if you hold it at 75 feet and squint.

Both have 1:47" twist.

A friend had a .36 Blue Ridge and it was a very accurate gun. I'd go with a .45 Frontier/Blue Ridge if I had to pick.

Well I would go with the Frontier in 50 cal.,plus it has set trigger. 50 cal,is a good all around rifle, the set trigger may be a benefit if you are going to do some target work. My 45 is a Pedersoli s-270 it has the set trigger, Both rifles shoot well, The 50 is a little better at 100 yds, especially if the wind is blowing. I do not think you that you will be disappointed with either. Respectfully Montanadan.
