Hi all,

This is my rifle:

https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/pedersoli-traditional-hawken-percussion-rifle
But mine was made by investarms for Cabela's, instead of pedersoli in the link.

I would like to :

1. Buy more cap style nipples(spares)
2. Buy a 209 primer conversion nipple
(this one:
https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/davide-pedersoli-209-primer-nipple-conversion-kit )

But I am having some trouble to find the nipple thread specs of my gun.

And because of it,
1. I cannot choose the correct cap nipple from trackofthewolf
2. I am afraid to buy a conversion nipple that does not fit in my gun,

To achieve some piece of mind, I would like to find the correct thread specs of my gun nipple.

Would anyone help?

Thanks !!
Atb

Try calling TOTW and ask them or VTI parts. My best guess :thumb:

I got this nipple from TOW; Nipple, Hot Shot® for Thompson Center Hawken & other popular guns, 1/4-28 thread, #11 CCI cap, stainless steel

Go to this link and scroll down the page and look for the above description.

This is what it looks like. I have several Pedersoli muzzle loaders that take this nipple. The design helps to ignite the powder and separate the cap once it's been busted.

If you are still not sure what the thread pitch is on the nipple, take it to Lowes and try screwing it in the gauge in the screws, nuts and bolts section. You will know right away whether it is metric or SAE.

Marco, if you never listen to anything else i have to say, you need to listen to this.
just order whatever from TOTW or anyone else.
when it gets to you if it fits you are golden. now the sage advice.
if it doesn't fit, find another rifle it will and buy it!
repeat until you are successful in finding the one you were looking for in the first place.
this method has worked perfectly for me for 60 + years.
invest arms are normally 6-.75 but , if it is a used rifle it could be anything. i have 4 and only one is the stock metric.
good luck.

Truer words have never been spoken!

Any true hardware store will have a selection of both metric and English bolts and nuts. Most have a plate with the varius threads you can try. As Mikey says: "try it, you will like it"

I have two .50 caliber INVESTARM percussion barrels, one is also marked "Cabela's ". Both use a metric m6x.75 nipple. (verified with screw plate and thread gages) If you can not verify your used nipple threads, buy a known metric m6x.75 screw (bolt) (or bottoming tap) and see that it fits properly,

TOW are fantastic, on their advise I took my old nipple to my local Nuts bolts and fixings store, they used their gauge and told me the thread size and TOW then suggested a nipple which has worked perfectly
