I shoot an inline for year but just got a .54 cal bp and love it when in the field what is the best way to carry loads and reload

thanks

After 27 yrs of BP shooting I got a bag for hunting made out of a welders glove,a small goat horn attached, I use a small bullet board when hunting,a bullet bag and bigger bag&horn for match. A capper or priming horn.I make my own small nipple wrench. Some deer tallow greased pillow ticking, bullet puller,it works for lost patch too. jag,tee shirt for cleaning. Good to go. Dilly

Usually a horn for powder and a bag 7"x8" or so for misc, and bals and patches, lube can be carried in an old cap tin precut square or round patches can be carried in the bottom of the bag with the balls, lots of ways just depends on how you prefer it, some methods are considered primitive or traditional when compared to others, (plastic preloaded do dads, co2 dischargers, powder pellets. get a feel for which direction you want to take ..modern or more primitive then you can pick out the proper gear.

I don't know it's the best, but I carry a horn and a separate ball bag that I wear over the opposite shoulder of my rifle bag. I reload from them.

My favorite hunting bags are about 7" x 8" too. In it I carry a small tool pouch with my ramrod accessories and a wad of cleaning patches, a small tin with a blob of lube in one end and a stack of patches in the other, a ball-bag with a few roundballs in it, a short starter, and a small ball board with 2 or 3 patched balls in it. When I am carrying a percussion rifle I stick a capper in the ball bag. My powder measure hangs from a thong attached to the strap so I can easily pull it out of the bag. I carry powder in a horn on a separate strap or occasionally in a flask. Works well for me.
