I have a new old stock sharon barrel and your breech looks just like mine. From the few others I've seen the stamping can be fairly shallow and fine. My crown is different from yours and the one pictured above, but that doesn't mean much, rifling looks the same.
On a side note i did once find a douglas barrel stamp under the barrel rib, just a suggestion if ypu can't find it with the chalk trick.

Under the barrel rib is another location i haven't checked as I haven't yet gotten the screws to loosen and don't want to strip them. When I'm able to free it I'll look under there too.

The snail on the breech does look very similar, but it also looks like your breech plug is larger than barrel where mine is flush. What caliber is yours?

It is slightly oversized in spots, looks like it wasn't draw filled properly. Its also a different color, like if the bluing didn't take to the plug the same as the barrel. Me and my dad both bought one from a trader roughly 20 years ago and they were both identical. No telling where they actually came from. Mine was unfortunately stolen. It's a 58 by the way.
