I picked this up at auction because I wanted to add a smoothbore to collection. Told it was of English manufacture "C.Mills" As seen in pictures it is engraved "Mills" only. Plenty of proof marks on underside of barrel. smooth 1.jpgsmooth 2.jpgsmoth 3.jpg Any and all information, guesses are welcome. Thank you, Joesmooth 1.jpgsmooth 2.jpgsmoth 3.jpg

I believe that the view and proof marks are Burmingham (England). I don't know of a Burmingham maker named Mills (doesn't mean there wasn't one); and given that it is not an ornate gun, it may well have been made for a retailer, who had his name on the locks. The TH may refer to the actual maker, but could also refer to a separate barrel maker, or a particular craftsman in a larger shop.
