I hope that this post is not taken wrongly. I just want people to check out the classified area. An old friend of mine from my AMM days is having a rough go with his health and is selling off 40 years of prime goods. If you are looking for anything , he probably has it and could use our help.

The reason I'm posting this is based on Claude's recent survey that noted few forum members knew of the classified section. All you have to do is click on the word "classified" in the area at the top of the page.

The items he has for sale are top-of-the-line. so, if you are out "marketing"-please take a look. Thanks

Mr. Longknife,
Checked on his ad but it is of little help and I don't want to pester him. I don't know exactly what it is he has to sell. I am somewhat of an impulse buyer and if something catches my fancy (and I can afford it), let the sale proceed.
I respect the gentleman having his hands pretty full at this time (with other considerations) but to just quote the name of the builder, etc. is not enough for me (personally) to base a decision on.
Any advice?
Respectfully,
WindWalker

No not really...my suggestion would be to ask Russ specific questions. like"do you have powder horns and if so how much? " or I'm interested in a rifle what do you have? I know it's strange to sell stuff this way, but after 40 years of making things, trading, buying, and being given keepsakes; it would take him days to probably list it all. He's a great guy, so just ask him what he has in your field of interest...he'll answer you.
His statement , I think, was just to try to stop people from saying "send me photos of everything you have and I might be interested in something."
His plunder won't be cheap because it's top quality. But I'm sure that some of it would be impossible to get now except through someone who has been at this awhile and had it in their collection.
Hope that helps a little.
