My buddy Rebel tells me he has had two tied out on a string for a couple of weeks down in Oregon. If he don't feed 'em between now, and the 15th. of April, they are going be some awful thin birds.

Is season in already, in some places??? ::

Good luck on them gobblers you had hitched up in Oregon!

I see most of y'all are in the same boat I'm in, although I do have the camper loaded up to take my boys for Ky Youth tomorrow. THEY ARE STOKED!!! I just hope we can find a bird on the wma...

Slamfire,
I'll be watching for a story/pics come monday, good luck!!!

Anybody from down south got a story?

I'd be happy to story you, but pics are somethin' yore gonna wait a long time for. I never could run a camera. Bought one when I was in the Navy and my 7 year old brother took better pics with it than I could.

No season here yet until April 25. Our birds had started gobbling really well in the past week, as we've had very spring like weather. But, the wind is blowing and we are promised a cold weekend with possibly 2" rain mixed with snow. That outta shut 'em up for a few days. The weather does help me though, as I have a backlog of work and I'm in the office all weekend to clear it.... right after I stop surfing.

Still waiting for the 15th here in Washington State too.

Bess is ready to rock, but maybe I'll go shoot some patterns just to ease the wait.

Took my 2 boys this weekend for the ky youth hunt.. Saturday was nothing but rain and wind all day! This am we found a few vocal birds, but couldn't quite get them to come across the POSTED line to the wma! DANG IT!

My buddy took my other son and called up a bird for him, but it didn't work out and he didn't make the ride home for thanksgiving dinner! :curse:

COME ON APRIL 15TH!

Good luck and safe hunting.
