Hey guy's I have a question for you , I was offered some what I thought was Goex today for 11.00 bucks a pound . I was only way to happy to get it in fact I wished I'd had more cash on me when this oportunity came up . The problem is when the powder was handed to me it was Schuetzen brand powder of I have never seen or used and I don't know anyone that has to ask about it. I went ahead and grabed it but what did I get ? any of you folks ever use it ? I won't have a chance to burn some until tomorrow , I hope I did okay.

You did just fine. Getting any type of BP for $11/lb is a good deal, but Schuetzen is a quality brand. I think it comes from Germany.

That is a really good deal. Buy all you can afford. Some time ago I bought a case of & the Scheutzen I bought performed almost identical to the Goex I have, with just barely a tad less fouling. Hardly a noticable dif. between the two of them. Velocity was very close too.

What the others said. The little bit of Schuetzen I have used was not a lot different from GOEX. I have one friend that uses it exclusivly and does very well at the shoots.

Thanx for the response guys I'm going to try to go back and get some more befor it's all gone , I should have had more cash on me the day I got the two pounds 11.00 bucks a pound was such a good price I thought there must be something wrong with it.

The Schuetzen is a good powder which last year was selling at the same price as Goex ( at Friendship ) Schuetzen burns about 15 percent hotter than Goex of the same granulation. I use it in my reproduction Ferguson Rifle which has a short powder chamber. 55 grains of Goex sounds like a musket going off. 55 grains of Schuetzen
sounds like a rifle!!! Should Goex get much higher
in price than Schuetzen I would switch powders in a heartbeat. ( after I shot up all my Goex! )
Schuetzen is good powder!

Yes, Schuetzen is a good powder, made in Germany by Wano. It's just labeled differently here. Graf's also sells it under their label.
