That revolving rifle was notorious for burning people's hands and setting the next cylinder off taking out the shooter's hands. Thats the issue with the rifle vs pistol option your hands in front of it.

A collector item for sure. All the negativesI have heard so far, dunno if I would shoot it. Don't like the eyeballs facing capped nipples either.

My GUESS is that it began life as a normal sized pistol and was later modified.

I wonder if the old timers used leather gauntlets or forearm/wrist guards with those revolver rifles? I guess a buckskin shirt worked - remember Arthur Hunnicutt's character, "Bull", in "El Dorado"?

I know later versions had that trigger guard grip thingy to hold on to..

You have to double fist it, there is no way to put your support hand in front of the cylinder.

I shot a modern replica revolving rifle. Didn’t like the blast in the face , thought cylinder was out of time. Since found out that is normal.
