Howdy from Oklahoma. I used.to live in Vidalia GA 30 years ago. Did Civil reenacting there, both sides. Muskets are great. I have a few, Rev War through Civil War. Enjoy the Parker Hale.

Hey Y’all!

Life long GA boy here. Started in Columbus, teen years spent growing up in the small mountain town of Ellijay, a productive decade and a half in the city of Lagrange and now I have enjoyed the last 20 years living the dream on beautiful Tybee Island.

Brand new to black powder, but always had the interest, I recently was able to make that interest a reality.

I jumped in whiteout knowing how deep the water was, and dang it! I went and bought my first black powder percussion rifle, right?

Proud to say I’m the new owner of a genuine Parker Hale pattern 1853 3 band rifled musket!! As any good southern boy should do, right? Woo hoo for me!
I have shot it only once experiencing mixed results. First shot, firing off hand, I hit an 8x11 paper target at 50 yards. And then the next 6-8 shots later ran into to new guy issues and had to head to the house, dang it! It was thrilling to say the least, right? I'm going to remember that first shot just like I remember my “first love” many decades ago!

Anyway, I'm happy to be here and looking forward to y'all bringing me up to speed!
Welcome from Columbus, GA.
