so the short story is
my dad passed away a few years ago
in his collection was a pile of Black walnut pistol and rifle blanks from the 70'S ...... for a "RIP" I May tell that story pain full lesson as a teen !!
Also a cardboard box listed John Clark... I'll send pics as needed
with many parts of flintlock trigger assembly, well Actually 2 of the them
1 assembled and one not
so from what i have read John has Passed to Greener pastes as has my father
so the Question is do I toss the lumber and the John Clarke stuff, is there a value in any of it today

Asp, you have my condolences for the passing of your Dad. As you know, sometimes these life events take a very long time to heal. Working thru your Dads things is necessary and helpful. But for heavens sake don't toss things. You will find a market for most of it right here and make some new friends in the bargain. Again, sorry for your loss and welcome to the forum.
Regards, John

@Asp, Take a look at the price of stocks on sites such Pecatonica River ( Stock Blanks, Pecatonica River Long Rifle Supply (longrifles-pr.com) ) or Tiger Hunt ( About Us - Gunstock Wood ) or some of the other stock suppliers and you will see that there is value in your stock blanks. Post some pictures of your stock blanks and ask if anyone has any suggestions for the type of rifle or pistol they could be made into. Also post pictures of your Clark locks, both the assembled and the parts.

Not quite worth their weight in gold, but not that far off! As Grenadier1758 asks, so I add my 'ask' to the picture request.

Good gunstock wood is valuable - how much depends on figure and direction of the grain.

so here is some of it

I'm thinking about donating this to the Forum for an Auction
all monies will go to help keep this site going

Im thinking about a silent Auction, I don't want a bidding war ant thoughts?

Guess you should ask Zonie how that would work. Nice idea but it will be a bit of work for someone.

Sorry for the delay
took a short vacation with my son before i started a new job
So at this point i did not see any Interest in a silent Action for the Forum, nor can i place an add to sell this .
ill keep the lumber and make something out of it, as for the John Clark actions, back on to the shelf

A lot going on here. Reason you could not list any items for sale is because of a forum rule that says you must have 5 posts and be a forum member for 14 days. Believe you are there now. Another complication is the moderator @SOLANCO suggested getting hold of (Zonie) to figure things out, passed away last week. Sad time here. I am sure one of the other moderators will assist you with what you want to do.

And whatever you do, don’t toss the stuff. There is value there.

Where are you located? You might have someone local that would come pay you to take some of it away!

As with the others, sorry to hear about your loss and I know that going through stuff and cleaning it out can be stressful. As for your stuff, I presume the stock wood has real value, but I really love the lock, it's very cool. I have zero doubt that you'd find a good home for it if you didn't have use for it or the need to keep it for memory sake.
