I have had a restricted license since about 82, always pistols never had a Rifle.
This particular journey started several years ago when I started to make my own cloths, went to the store to get my yearly sweat pants and found them so thin and light you could see the light through the material, useless and the same price. Iv always liked the older fashions so I started by making night shirts then pants then tops, latest is the "Historic" B4486 shirt. Got some suede pig skin waiting to become a coat, just haven't found a pattern for that.
Last year I started into leather, once again because of necessity, shoes have become manure and cost a fortune, I walk allot so the heals last three months, so I made myself a pair of Ghillie shoes, most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, and lasted and have not worn out yet (crepe rubber sole). Made winter boots as the next project, hand stitched, using a sewing awl. This got me into Belt pouches and then stoking the fires for the taste of blackpowder, on my bucket list for my collection still wanted a Derringer, 45 and Flintlock. I bought a couple weeks ago from TotWolf a Pedersoli Kentucky Flintlock Pistol .54, should be here next week. I have a line on a Trapper Flintlock .45 that I want to get next month Made my first holster for a WPPK this week and looking forward to make one for my new Flintolock.
