Hi Folks, I am a retired gunsmith living in South Central Missouri now (16yrs). I was born in Kansas, went to college in Oklahoma, and then moved to Colorado (29yrs). That is where I had my gunsmith shop.

Been involved with guns and hunting all my life, including ML's. I have built 6 custom ML rifles and a Kit from Lyman GPR 50 cal. Most of my gun work was with the modern stuff though (gotta eat and pay the bills).

I look forward to being here. Great Forum !!! Linden

Laney, SMO, and Artie, thanks for the welcome!! I don't know about my knowledge because after years of gunsmithing I am still learning things. I have a number of my own projects that I started over the years that I need to finish including a Lehigh rifle and a Gatling gun (which we won't discuss here) among a few others.

Good to meet ya, Linden. Transplant from northern IL and lived in KS about a dozen years and in MO now for close to 8 years. Both are GR8ST8s!

No doubt you'll enjoy all the interesting BP stuff found in the MLF, and meeting the helpful folk here, too. Welcome.

Spent two years in Lawrence then the next ten years in Baldwin City about 15 miles south of Lawrence. Best years ever in that small rural town....my wife and I loved it. After we moved to another state, we totally understood how Dorothy felt when she said, "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in KS anymore." ;)

GO CHIEFS !!!

Yeah, and I remember when traveling through Kansas how those winds created the "amber waves of grain." No doubt you've seen fields like this. Surely is one of nature's beautiful displays.
